A Kennett Square homeowner needed a total renovation for his two-story colonial. The stucco exterior was cracked and deteriorating. In addition to an unsightly appearance, moisture had infiltrated the facade, causing mold and wood rot. The interior of the home was extremely outdated, necessitating a full remodel. We began the process by meeting with the customer to assess his needs, take measurements and photos, and create a 3-D model of the home. Following this initial planning session, we provided the client with a comprehensive proposal, including a cost estimate, warranties, options, anticipated timing, and a contract.
We removed the deteriorating stucco siding and replaced it with durable, James Hardie fiber cement siding. In addition to its gorgeous curb appeal, James Hardie siding is easy to maintain and lasts 30-50 years with proper installation and upkeep; and is pest, moisture, and weather-resistant. We also installed new windows, a new roof, soffits, facia, and gutters, and extended the roofline for a more modern aesthetic.
Our breadth of construction services ensured a smooth remodel for the interior of the home as well. To overhaul this worn, dated home, we gutted the entire interior and refinished the basement, the main floor, and the second floor, including the bathrooms.
